New Coke


It's April 23, 1985, and one of the worst marketing decisions ever was about to take place. This is the day that 'New Coke' was introduced to the world. In response to the 'Pepsi Challenge' campaign of the late 70's in which Coca-Cola saw its' share of the market declining, the idea was hatched to roll out the sweeter tasting New Coke. Market bashlash was almost instant and the product enjoyed a very short shelf life.
