Steamboat Round the Bend is a 1935 comedy film starring Will Rogers, Anne Shirley, Irvin S. Cobb, and Eugene Pallette. It was directed by John Ford. It tells the story of a Louisiana con man who enters his steamboat into a winner-take-all race. At the same time he is trying to find a witness to free his nephew who was wrongly convicted for murder. This film was released on September 6, 1935. This was a few weeks after the death of star Will Rogers in a plane crash.
