Janis Joplin was an American singer, songwriter, painter, dancer and music arranger. In the late 1960's she was known as 'The Queen of Rock and Roll' as well as 'The Queen of Psychedelic Soul'. On July 18, 1969, Joplin sang "To Love Somebody" on The Dick Cavett Show.
