High Sierra is a 1941 film noir starring Ida Lupino, Humphrey Bogart, and Alan Curtis and was directed by Raoul Walsh. It tells the story of recently released thief Roy Earle (Bogart) who is hired by his old boss Big Mac to help a group of criminals plan and carry out the robbery of a California resort. The film was noted for its extensive location shooting. It was released on January 21, 1941.
