Airline travel was such a wonderful experience back in the 1960s. As this classic commercial from 1968 shows, Pan American Airlines, commonly known as Pan Am, offered many amenities unheard of today. It touted "87 first-class entrees", and even "a waiting list for the moon". Pan American was "the airline that's going places, like you've never gone before". This spot was created on the eve of the 747s arrival.
