Bringing Up Baby- Movie Clip- Torn Dress (1938)

Bringing Up Baby is a 1938 comedy starring Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant, and released by RKO Radio Pictures. This clip features David Huxley (Grant) and Susan Vance (Hepburn) in a crowded ballroom. As they argue, she inadvertently rips his tuxedo coattails. He gets angry and asks her to leave unaware that he is standing on the hem of her dress. As she angrily storms off, her dress is ripped. Huxley follows her and attempts to cover her backside with his top hat and then his hands. When she discovers that her dress has torn, she asks for his help.

A Family Affair- Movie Clip (1937)

This clip is from the 1937 comedy A Family Affair, the first entry in the sixteen Andy Hardy film series. In this scene, Andy Hardy reluctantly goes to the home of his childhood sweetheart named Polly to take her to a dance. He is pleasantly surprised when he sees how much she has changed since the last time he saw her. Mickey Rooney plays the role of Andy Hardy and Polly Benedict is played by actress Margaret Marquis. This film was released on March 12, 1937.

In this clip from the 1935 short film Hoi Polloi featuring the Three Stooges, Curly gets a spring attached to his backside while dancing and the fun ensues. Hoi Polloi is the tenth short film starring The Three Stooges. It tells the story of a professor who bets that he can turn the stooges into gentlemen. After many attempts to teach them etiquette, he brings them to a fancy society party. This short was released on August 29, 1935.

Dracula- Mirror Scene (1931)

Dracula was released in 1931 and stars Bela Lugosi, Helen Chandler, David Manners, and Edward Van Sloan. This scene features Count Dracula and Van Helsing (Lugosi and Van Sloan) together.

Earlier, Van Helsing had noticed that Dracula did not have a reflection in a mirror and wanted to test with another mirror. Upon seeing the mirror, Dracula immediately smacked it down. He stated that he did not like mirrors and prepared to leave the room. As he was going, he stated "For one who has not even lived a single lifetime, you're a wise man Van Helsing".
