The Ed Wynn Show- Full Episode (1949)

The Ed Wynn Show was a short-lived variety series that aired from 1949 to 1950. It featured classic comedy from Ed Wynn, a successful comedian who performed in vaudeville for over 40 years. In this episode, Ed pays tribute to vaudeville performer Victor Moore. It also features a medley by The Merry Macs, a quartet formed in the 1920s in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The Ed Wynn Show was the first network series to be aired live on the West Coast and have the kinescopes shipped East, where they would air a couple of weeks later. Although the ratings were not great, the show won both a Peabody Award and an Emmy Award in 1949. This episode aired on October 3, 1949.

Ethel Merman- "I Get A Kick Out of You" (1949)

This classic TV clip aired on March 22, 1949 and features Ethel Merman singing the classic song "I Get A Kick Out of You". She is introduced by a costumed Milton Berle. Per MattTheSaiyan (who posted this video), Berle was still in costume as he had just done a comedy sketch with actor Keye Luke.
