General Motors Motorama Exhibit- 1956

This short film was featured at the General Motors Motorama of 1956. These automobile extravaganzas were designed to spark public appetite and boost automobile sales with displays of fancy prototypes, concept vehicles and other special models. This film looked ahead to the year 1976 and featured cars on auto-pilot guided down an electronic highway.

This commercial features the line of 1971 Vega cars including the Vega Sedan, the Vega Hatchback Coupe, the Vega Kammback Wagon, and the Vega Panel Express. The tagline for this spot is "The Little Car That Does Everything Well".

Beverly Hills Street Scene (1935)

This incredible footage features street scenes in Beverly Hills, CA in 1935. This includes many great shots of vintage automobiles and architecture. Per the description:

This classic archive footage from a car travels east along Wilshire, starting near Canon Dr. You can see the former Warner Bros. Theater marquee (and later on its tower), formerly at 9404 Wilshire, on the left, and behind it on the left, the extant Beverly Wilshire Hotel. The shot continues east on Wilshire, to Robertson, where it makes a mild turn.

Leave It to Roll-Oh- World's Fair 1940

This is a promotional film made by Chevrolet for the 1939-1940 World's Fair in New York. The short begins with a futuristic household robot that helps free up time for the housewife who enjoys leisurely reading magazines. From here it focuses on the small technological advances that help take care of the "routine tasks" leaving us "free to live, work and play in greater ease and comfort and safety".
